Interoperability

Usability (User Experience)

The system to be provided will be 100% web-based. The entire system, front-office and back-office, is 100% web-based, ensuring full compatibility with the reference browsers on the market, namely: Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. Quidgest's system is also responsive, adapting to different screen configurations used by users. These features allow for secure use on any device and in any location, without the need for installation on user machines.

In addition to the 100% Web system, there is a pleasant user experience:

  • modern and pleasant design;
  • menus organized by the sequence of steps in the process;
  • detailed lists of records (not dependent on codes), with selection choices;
  • simple search methods and easy sorting;
  • access to all relevant related information;
  • direct access to most used menus (favourites);
  • noticeable notifications for users;
  • use of terms and concepts identical to those used in the client's procedures (not imposed by the procedures involved).

These factors are fundamental for user adoption and contribute decisively to the transformation of IT in any environment.

Quidgest's system was designed for Web and Mobile environments. In the software industry terminology, it is web-first, mobile-first. When each interface is thought out, it starts by being thought out for these environments, which implies care in the layout of fields, the presentation of messages, access to menus and actions to be executed.

Finally, any Quidgest system assumes paradigm shifts focused on simplicity and process automation. The sequence of steps required to perform even relatively simple tasks in a non-intuitive way does not help. The problems that imposed and traditional semantics cause productivity loss, multiple errors, difficulty in isolating and reproducing problems, difficulty in finding technicians who master them, and additional costs with their hiring. Organisations' budgets are exhausted by paying very high amounts for very unproductive hours, without any benefit to the operation and user experience. Quidgest's system aims to provide exactly the opposite: a continuously more productive and more enjoyable system to use.

The system allows customizing the user experience as it enables configuring the fields displayed in different listings (i.e. order, hide or display fields, default sorting). It also allows defining specific shortcuts for the most recurring operations and thus facilitating access. Ability to define your own reports. Upon entering the system, all relevant notifications are immediately displayed. And the ability to filter information by your user profile and the entity/service of your responsibility or assignment.

Agile search mechanisms

The system has agile search mechanisms in a transversal way that allows searching by keywords as well as defining combinatory conditions for filtering and searching for information.

Interoperability

Webservices are published on servers distinct from those used for the system's presentation layer; this feature is also visible in the architecture presented, through the segregation of layers in different environments. All available webservices follow the best practices and standards defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS). In this way, transparent and secure information interoperability is guaranteed by design.

Integration with widgets and third-party software

Quidgest systems integrate with third-party widgets/plugins/software according to their need and applicability. For example, Quidgest systems allow integration with Outlook, as well as scanning and OCR software.
