Fields

Identification

  • Order - Order of fields in the table. The order or sequence of fields in a table is important to get correct calculation results.

  • Table - Area from which the List will fetch fields.

  • Field - Table field name, if no other is assigned in the table's long field

  • DB field name - Override the field name in the database. If this property is left blank the field name will be used, otherwise the name defined here is used. This field has a character limit greater than what can be given to the field.

  • Display name - Field designation. Intelligible name for the field (and which will be used by default when the field is inserted in a form).

  • Data type - Field Type (Integer, String, Date, Foreign Key, etc)

  • Relationship - Area from which the List will fetch fields.

  • Related field - Table field name, if no other is assigned in the table's long field

  • Width - Number of elements the field will have. For example, for a String it will be the number of letters and for a numeric field it will be the number of digits.)

  • Decimals - Field decimals

  • Default (F11) - Default value for the field: field type + field value Example: N 4 (Numeric field of value 4)

  • Value - Default value of the field in case the default type is fixed.

  • Required - Check this field if the value of this field cannot be null.

  • Unique - Check if this field cannot be duplicated. Use the non-duplication prefix if it is necessary that the duplication check only takes effect on some records.

  • Human key - Defines that this field is recognized by a human as a record identifier for choices and messages. A numeric value greater than zero defines the importance of this field in that identification.

  • Align - Field alignment type. If right-aligned, fill the left with spaces.

  • Save history - Area from which the List will fetch fields.

Constraints

  • Filling Rule - Field fill rule type. Allows you to define validation and formatting rules.

  • Warning: If you define a prefix field to be unique, it will allow duplicate entries to be inserted/edited when the value of the prefix field is empty.

  • CAV - Type of inclusion of this field in the Advanced Query.

  • Name for Query Assistant - Description used for Advanced Query (CAv)

  • Clear on duplication - When duplicating a record, this field will be created with its value empty.

Formulas

  • Placeholder - The placeholder is intended to describe the expected value to be entered into a text input field. The placeholder is displayed in the input field before the user enters the text.

  • Formula type - Type of formula to use to calculate the value of this field.

  • Implementation of the formula - Where the field value will be calculated and how it will update to other locations.

  • Formula (F11) - Construction of the formula to be used to calculate this field. Press F11 to get help building the formula

  • Condition to prevent formula recalculation (F11) - Condition that, happening, causes registry value not to be recalculated

  • Condition to show the field (F11) - This field is only visible when the condition is true.

  • Condition to block the field (F11) - This field is blocked whenever the condition is true.

  • Condition to fill the field (F11) - It only allows filling data in the field if the condition indicated here is evaluated as true. If the field contains data and the condition due to external factors is evaluated as false, the field value is nullified.
